Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of organicclothing.eu, The European Organic Clothing Register, run by Akaterra AB, Sweden (company registration number 559195-5769). By using the site you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it.

What the site is

The register describes European brands that make organic clothing and home textiles, shows the certificate behind each claim, and links to the brands' shops. It is free to use. We don't sell anything: when you follow a link to a shop and buy something, your contract is with that shop, under its own terms, prices and delivery conditions. How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy.

Accuracy

We describe brands from public sources and mark each certification as checked, with the date we looked it up in the certifier's own register, or as claimed by the brand. Certificates expire and ranges change, though, and we can't guarantee that every detail is complete, current or correct. Whether a product is available, what it costs and how it is delivered is whatever the shop says on its own site. If you find a mistake, tell us through the contact page.

Links and earnings

Links to shops take you to other companies' websites. We have no control over their content and are not responsible for it. Some links are affiliate links and say so under the button: if you buy after clicking one, the shop may pay us a commission. Before a link through the Awin network, we ask for your consent to Awin's cookies. The affiliate disclosure explains this in full.

Using our content

You may read, link to and share pages of the register, and use its public JSON API, for personal, non-commercial use. Copying or extracting the register or a substantial part of it in any other way, by hand or with automated tools, needs our written permission: the selection and arrangement of the data are protected, including by the EU database right. Brand names, logos and certification marks belong to their owners; we use them only to identify the brands and their certificates.

Liability

We provide the register as it is. To the extent the law allows, Akaterra AB is not liable for loss or damage arising from using the site or from relying on its content, or for the products, services or websites of the brands and shops we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, for example for intent or gross negligence.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms. The version on this page, with the date shown below, applies. Swedish law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
